Be a SCFPA Society Member

The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts is a volunteer-driven endeavor. Community volunteers help organize and ensure that the various events run smoothly. Festival supporters are encouraged to become SCFPA Society members at $10 a year per member. For almost fifty years our Festival has promoted development of diverse performance skills in our talent-rich community.

The membership year is from September 1 to August 31, and membership for performers is included in the Festival registration fees.

Payment can be made either by credit card through our website, etransfer or by cheque (mailed to SCFPA, PO Box 1043, Sechelt BC V0N 3A0). Thank you for your support!

MEMBERSHIP RULES

  1. A General Member in good standing is a person who wishes to work actively to further the objectives of the Society, to uphold the Constitution and to comply with the by-laws of the society. All members of the Society, other than Honorary Members, shall pay yearly membership fees to the Society, as established from time to time by the Board.
  2. A person may apply to the Board for membership in the Society, and on acceptance of the Board, shall be a member.
  3. The conferring of an Honorary Member in the Society shall be made upon the recommendation of the Board and presented to the general membership. He/she shall not be required to pay any membership fees to the Society, but shall be a full voting member. An Honorary Membership is reserved for any member of the Society who has made a substantial contribution to the Society over a number of years.
  4. Each General and Honorary Member shall have single vote at all General Meetings of the Society, on all proceedings. Such votes are to be cast in person, in attendance at these General Meetings. No proxy votes will be permitted.
  5. Only a member in good standing who normally has been a member of the Society for at least one (1) year, may serve on the Board.
